Therefore, a TFT display is an active matrix display where each display pixel is individually illuminated. TFT displays are made using large sheets of transistors, each of which is independently controlled.

This is a field-effect transistor technology, so an electrode must be placed on a glass plate on which thin layers are placed that, when activated by the electrode, activate the colors, forming pixels.

The way to clean the TFT screens is to dampen a cloth with clean water, the cloth should be soft and lint-free, gently rub the screen with the cloth, avoiding spraying the water on the screen as liquid could be introduced through the edges of the screen and the equipment would be damaged.
